I am unreasonably anxious that I flubbed the date on the "Stone Soup Luncheon" (whereat the children prepare a meal for parents and other adult guests), hosted by Stuart's preschool. I could have sworn the parents of the Tuesday and Thursday morning class kids were meeting at 11:00 on Thursday.

Now I'm second-guessing myself. Why would Stuart have asked for a potato and onion to bring to school this morning? I mean, presumably so the teachers could do all the necessary peeling and dicing without eight three-to-five-year-olds underfoot. Still, I'm second-guessing.

Somehow, these things have become Very! Important! It's oddly centering.

I don't think I even need to explain the impetus for my tattoo.

Max stepped into his private boat and waved good-bye and sailed back over a year and in and out of weeks and through a day and into the night of his very own room where he found his supper waiting for him -

and it was still hot.

I totally understand. I emailed three different people to find out whether kids were wearing their Halloween costumes to music class this year so that Naya wouldn't be the only one, and she's not even to the point where she would really care or remember! There's just something about not being the mom who forgets the details.

Ravi has suggested that I might be jealous that I didn't think of your tattoo idea first. He's probably right. (o:
I should add here that I know I WILL be a mom who forgets the details, because I am a person who forgets details--- but I don't WANT to be, so it's a stressor.
I love the tattoo.
i've always wanted to tattoo "aplomb" on the inside of my wrist.
Rock on. We have that entire book memorized.

♥ you.
LOVE the tattoo. God, I haven't read that book in a LONG time.

Is it a fresh new tattoo? Where did you get it done? (I'm always curious where people get work done that I like.)

Thanks for checking in.

I'm kind of not-okay, as a lot of work stuff has been going down lately. I'll try to post about it when I can muster the energy. Suffice it to say (for the moment), in addition to have my hourly wage reduced last month, I also had to unexpectedly assume the duties of my supervisor, who is on (indefinite?) leave.
